Visionscape, Inc. Wins Stuart J. Sperber Memorial Sweepstakes Trophy Award For Clurman Estate
The California Landscape Contractors Association presented Visionscape, Inc. of Laguna Beach the prestigious Stuart J. Sperber Memorial Sweepstakes Trophy Award for their work on the Clurman Estate.
ValleyCrest Tree Company sponsored the award, which was presented during the association's annual convention November 17, 2011.
Two high-regarded green industry veterans traveled state-wide to personally inspect each and every one of the 150-plus Trophy Award entrants. The judges, who rated projects on their artistic and technical merits, were impressed with Visionscape, Inc.'s work. "This project showcases old world charm and craftsmanship in every detail. The garden is terraced on a steep slope, with each terrace possessing a beauty and uniqueness all its own," says Trophy Award Judge and recognized landscape architect Rick Conner, Principal of the Land Design Group.
The California Landscape Contractors Association sponsors the Trophy Awards to encourage interest in landscaping, recognize crafts people who produce outstanding landscapes, create pride in superior workmanship and to bestow public recognition on companies, institutions, municipalities and residents for their interest in a beautiful California.
When asked to talk about Visionscape, Inc., owner Ruben Flores said, "Visionscape's goal is to transform the industry by raising the bar for residential landscape design and by improving the efficiency of designers and contractors."
The California Landscape Contractors Association is a non-profit trade organization of licensed landscape and landscape-related contractors. Also included among its approximately 3,000 members are landscape suppliers, landscape architects, public officials, educators, and students. Although formally incorporated in 1952, CLCA has been meeting as an association since 1937.
